you forgot to mention planting the Autumn/Winter vegetables around now. I like to keep my vegetable garden going for as long as i can, and most ‘greens’ taste so much nicer with a cooler growing season, even lettuce. Plus you can’t beat picking fresh cabbage etc. from the garden to go with the cooler weather stews and casseroles!

This garden has been a blessing to all of us who have worked hard to establish it. I have have had wonderful visits with folks who just drop by to walk in the garden. The children have been especially drawn to see how vegetbles grow. Thanks so much for your article.
