"Helen helps readers explore, discover and
express what their own style actually is. She helps us through
this voyage of self-expression laid out not as a designer would
approach the subject matter – but as an enlightened guide
who over the years has worked through the obstacles. It’s obvious
that the author has practiced what works and what doesn’t."
P. Allen Smith
Gardener, lifestyle expert
" Helen Yoest is an acknowledged expert on gardening in harmony with nature—and a true friend over the garden gate."
James Baggett
Editor, Country Gardens magazine
"Gardening with Helen Yoest is like working with the best teacher you ever had in high school. She speaks clearly. She explains carefully. She meets you at your level of expertise. She instructs from personal experience gained day-after-day in the garden pulling weeds, placing stones, and planting flowers."
Steve Bender
Senior writer for Southern Living magazine

They had those doughnut hamburgers at the Indiana State Fair. I didn’t try it… did you try the one pictured here? How was it?
No way is there such a thing as donut-burger! Makes my teeth hurt thinking about it! gail
It was good Carol! I had to share it tho, b/c as you can see, it was huge.
Gail, it is was any other donut besides a Krispy Kreme, I may have passed.
I guess you went for the food and not the rides.
Les, the kids did all the rides…stuck with the food.
